RUGBY Borough slipped to a third successive league defeat after losing 2-1 away at promotion-chasing Anstey Nomads.
Borough drew level shortly before half time courtesy of Ellis Myles after Tristen Thomas put the home side ahead at Cropston Road.
However, substitute Tobias Liversidge put Anstey back in front just before the hour mark to condemn Borough to defeat.
The result means Rugby sit 16th in the Northern Premier League Midlands table, five points above the relegation zone.
Anstey took the lead on 36 minutes when a ricochet bounced kindly to Thomas in the box and the Anstey player found the net via the underside of the crossbar.
However, Rugby equalised three minutes later as skipper Myles forced a shot past home goalkeeper Anthony Nunez.
The home side reclaimed the lead on 57 minutes when Liversidge drilled a first time shot into the bottom left corner from outside the penalty area.
Rugby are next in action against St Neots Town on Saturday, March 28 with kick-off at 3pm at Kilsby Lane.
