RUGBY Town have secured two more contracted players ahead of the 2022/23 campaign as Matt Hill and Ryan Seal return to Butlin Road.
As Valley near the start of their pre-season schedule, 11 players have now committed to the club for the forthcoming season.
Goalkeeper Hill returns after a two-year absence, having lost his place in the side to Sam Lomax.
The 24-year-old made 77 appearances in his first spell with the club before playing for Hinckley AFC who play a level below Town in the United Counties League Division One.
Midfielder Seal proved a popular figure at the club following his arrival from Stamford in July 2019 and scored 20 goals in just 39 starts in an advanced role.
And Seal continued his goalscoring form during his season-long stint away from the club as he bagged 20 goals for Gresley Rovers’ UCL Premier North promotion winning side
Rugby boss Carl Adams is also hoping to confirm the return of Charlie Evans in the coming week who played alongside Hill at Hinckley last year, having made the switch from Butlin Road in the opening weeks of the previous campaign.
Valley captain Loyiso Recci is also expected to sign a one-year contract on his return from holiday with Adams still looking to add a number of key signings before the league season kicks-off on July 31.
Defender Jamal Clark and midfielder James Hancocks have both departed for Racing Club Warwick whilst full back Harry Eden has returned to parent club Sutton Coldfield following a seven-game trial period.
Rugby begin pre-season with a fixture at FC Stratford on Thursday, July 7 with kick-off at 7.30pm.
