RUGBY Town continued their prefect start to pre-season with a 3-1 friendly win against Tividale.
Goals from Caine Elliott, Rivel Mardenborough and trialist Leo Wood sealed a second pre-season win for Valley.
The action took place on the 3G pitch at Butlin Road.
Rugby took the lead when Elliott found the net with a stunning first time shot into the top corner from 25-yards out.
However, Tividale equalised moments later as Ezekiel Agyemang nodded home from close range following a corner.
The home side reclaimed the lead before the break when Mardenborough nodded in on the rebound after Sam Ellis’s initial effort hit the underside of the crossbar.
And Valley extended their lead in the second period as Wood finished Elliott’s through ball when one-on-one with the Tividale goalkeeper.
Rugby are next in action against Walsall Wood on Thursday, July 17 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the John Sylvester Stadium.
