RUGBY Town finished the season with a 3-0 victory against Sutton Coldfield Town with the club’s relegation already confirmed.
Valley ended a disappointing campaign on a high as Harrison Nee, Caine Elliott and Dan Summerfield all struck in a comfortable victory at Butlin Road.
The result means Rugby finish the Northern Premier League Midlands season in 19th place, four points from safety with the club to play at Step Five next term.
Valley broke the deadlock on 23 minutes as Nee took the ball around Sutton goalkeeper James Wren before finishing into an empty net.
And Rugby doubled their lead in first-half injury time when Elliott finished Trey Charles’ square pass.
The home side completed the scoring one minute from time as Summerfield finished confidently when one-on-one with Wren from Ryan Sahota’s clever flick.
Rugby will now begin preparing for life at Step Five next season after two campaigns in the Northern Premier League Midlands.
