RUGBY Town midfielder Caine Elliott was the big winner at the club’s annual end of season awards night held at Valley’s Butlin Road hospitality suite.
Elliott scooped four major awards as he took home the Players’ and Vice Presidents’ player of the year gongs as well as the Media Star Man and Supporters’ player of the year awards.
And the midfielder shared the Most Appearances shield with goalkeeper Matt Hill whilst Jordan Wilson and David Kolodynski were tied for the Golden Boot award having scored 20 goals apiece.
Valley boss Carl Adams picked player-coach Liam Francis as his player of the year whilst Mark Graham received the Clubman of the Year trophy for going above and beyond in his coach driver’s role.
And Neil Gurney and Steve ‘Titch’ Franklin were rewarded for their involvement in organising transportation throughout the season.
The pair received the commitment shield established in memory of ex-Valley stalwart Tony Mann which was presented by Tony’s son Paul on the night.
And Kealan Bott’s dedicated support for Valley was recognised with the Young Fan of the Year award.
Lastly, Valley’s Youth Team Player of the Year was awarded to Ryan Sahota by under-18’s boss Tim Orford after his side preserved their status in the Midland Floodlit Youth League Premier Division.
The night was hosted by Town Director Mike Yeats who also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of numerous other club officials and volunteers during a successful campaign.
