MEMBERS from Rugby Sport for the Disabled Association were sharp shooters in the NCF Outdoor Nationals on Sunday.
Held at Nuneaton Archery Club by the National Crossbow Federation, Rugby’s crossbowers joined their competitors from Greenwich and Derby to compete in a well-contested event, despite the blustery conditions.
Kevin Rumble fired a score of 523 out of 600 across the three distances of 35m, 45m and 55m, including 160 in the latter.
Meanwhile, Iris Bingham shot a stunning 794 out of 900 across distances of 45m, 55m and 65m, top scoring with 283 in the shortest distance, as both members from Rugby claimed gold medals.
Elsewhere, Tony Reynolds with a score of 631 out of 900, Simon Emmett with a 470 score from 600 available points, and Keith Reynolds with his score of 312 out of 600 all claimed gold medals for the club.
