WARWICKSHIRE golfer Seb Cave helped England’s men win the Home Internationals trophy at Woodhall Spa.

Cave formed part of a nine-strong squad as the men won a fifth title from the last seven tournaments.

England’s men and women won a clean sweep of titles – triumphing in the men’s, women’s and combined events.

Men’s manager, Ben Gorvett said: “For the men, it was an up and down week and we didn’t always start well, but our true quality shone through.

“It was fantastic to see some new blood in the team, and you would expect them to be nervous, but not these boys. They came up trumps.

“The men and women showed true resilience throughout, especially as we were at home, and we’re really pleased with the result.”

England reclaimed the trophy from Ireland, securing a third win from four events since the tournament launched in 2022.

Cave played his part as England beat Scotland 13-8 and edged out defending champions Ireland by an 11.5-9.5 scoreline.

However, the Warwickshire golfer, who recently played at the Open Championship, suffered two defeats in his matches as England also beat Wales 12-9.
