Local bragging rights belong to Rugby

RUGBY Racing Cycling Club earned local bragging rights after beating Rugby Velo to win the Eddie Brodest trophy in a new record time to make it 10-4 in the series.

The 10-mile event was held at the K10/10F course at Frankton last Friday and it was Craig McKee who proved to be the fastest rider of the night after clocking an impressive time of 20 minutes and 26 seconds.

The final results were based on the aggregate times of the six fastest riders in each team the winning margin was eight minutes and nine seconds.

The best six results for Rugby RCC were McKee (20.26), Dave Elliott (21.16), Lewis Jones (21.28), Peter Wright (22.02), Simon Bayliss (22.37), Chris Parsons (22.45) for an aggregatr score of 130 minutes and 34 seconds.




The fastest times for Rugby Velo were Jeremy Hicks (21.42), Jamie Bowman (23.01), John Beckett (23.06), Steve Whitington (22.50), Phil Hughes (23.46), James Garrett (24.18), which gave them an aggregate scored of 138 minutes and 43seconds.
