FOOTBALL: LUTTERWORTH came up against potentially their biggest test of the season so far in the shape of a strong Bardon Hill side but maintained their fantastic run of form with a comfortable 6-2 victory.

Bardon Hill had only lost once this season heading into Saturday’s clash at Dunley Way and they were clearly set on taking something from the game.

However, it was the Swifts who almost went in front after just two minutes when striker Jordan Small found himself through on goal only to be denied by the goalkeeper.

Lutterworth’s midfield and defence were quick to snuff out any potential threat from Bardon and the Swifts asserted their dominance on the game. The breakthrough arrived in the form of a Tendai Daire header from a corner as the Dangerman was unmatched as he rose highest to convert the important first goal.

The Swifts continued to test the Bardon back line and shortly before half time they made it two when last year’s golden boot winner made no mistake in sliding the ball passed the outstretched keeper.

Bardon knew something needed to change if they were going to stay in the game but unfortunately for them the Swifts came out and picked up where they left off in the second half.

Bardon were running out of ideas and before they could think of another one the Swifts scored the third with the move of the match involving Keenan, Warren and Samuels before Daire drove the ball into the corner of the net.

Marshall Keenan then used his silky skills to net Swifts’ fourth of the match after his low strike found it’s way underneath the Bardon keeper.

Daire completed his hat-trick with a wonder goal after driving the ball from range into the top corner leaving the goalkeeper no chance.

Marshall Keenan then weaved his way into the box and after a deflected effort made it six.

Bardon did manage to score two consolation goals at the end of the game but it was too little too late and the Swifts continued their incredible unbeaten run.

Next match up for Lutterworth is a trip to Saffron Dynamo on November 19.
