MARK Cossar produced a powerful display to win the prestigious Battle of Britain at Frittenden in Kent over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The four-time British Masters Champion is not usually a fan of race circuits with long straights and tight bends.
But he was only troubled briefly by Rob Wilson in his second outing and sealed another win in his third heat which booked his place in the final.
Here Cossar was involved in a scrap with Myles Simmons and the pair made contact before the Rugby ace eventually asserted his authority to take the win.
“I was trying out a new engine for the first time today so I’m happy with it,” said Cossar.
“I’ve set this one up quite differently from what I’ve done in the past and to be honest, it was a bit of a handful at times, but that’s a nice problem to have. I had no shortage of power when I needed it.”
