RUGBY Gaels pushed a very experienced St Finbarr’s side all the way only to fall to a three point defeat in an entertaining game at Páirc na hÉireann in Birmingham in the Warwickshire Intermediate League Division 3.
The Gaels trailed by a point at the break, 5 points to a goal and a point. Connor Shaw once again found the net and Rugby took the game to Finbarr’s early in the second half.
The lead was cut by two points following a well taken goal by Owen Batchelor but in the final ten minutes Finbarr’s made better use of possession and scored five (one goal and two points) unanswered points to take the game away from a tired Rugby.
