NORMA’S Crew secured a third successive win in Division A of the Rugby Friday Night Charity Darts League to remain top of the table.
The league leaders beat The White Lion 12-9 as the two teams came together to raise £40 for charity.
In what was White Lion’s first outing of the season, Norma’s Crew led by a single point after three close opening matches.
However, Norma’s Crew pulled clear after they picked up maximum points from the last two singles games.
White Lion won both doubles matches as they dropped just a single point but were still on the end of a 12-9 defeat.
Elsewhere, Mad Moonies preserved their unbeaten start with a narrow 11-10 win against Railway B as the teams raised £22.25 for charity.
The two teams were unable to be separated up until the final pairs match as Mad Moonies clinched a 2-1 in to take overall victory by the narrowest of margins.
Shaz’s New Crew claimed their first win of the season with a 14-7 success against Crow Pie and A Pint as the teams raised £20 for charity.
The fixture was all square after four games before Shaz’s New Crew eased to victory as they dropped just one leg in the remaining matches.
And Crown Avoner’s also won by a 14-7 scoreline against It’s A Family Affair as the teams raised £20 for charity.
The victors led 13-5 before the pairs games were shared as both teams collected three points apiece as Crown Avoner’s secured their first win of the season.
In Division B, The Webb rallied to a 15-6 win against Worker’s C as the teams raised £23 for charity.
Worker’s C raced into a 5-1 lead after two matches before The Webb took control and romped to a comfortable victory.
Elsewhere, Royal Oak beat Crick Club 12-9 despite the latter side leading by three points at the end of the singles games.
Royal Oak recovered to win both pairs matches 3-0 to secure overall victory and a third straight win.
