TIM Fenemore, from Rugby, finished fourth overall in the second edition of the Four Nations Coastal Sculling Series.

The Four Nations Series saw competitors race each other in England, Wales, Jersey and Scotland from April to August.

And Fenemore, who rows for Hollowell Scullers, rowed alongside Jersey’s Ricky Rouille throughout the competition.

Fenemore and Rouille still managed to achieve a fourth-place finish despite missing the first event in Whitby.

The duo then successfully competed in races at Saundersfoot in Wales, St Helier in Jersey and Ayr in Scotland.

And the pair scored enough points to finish fourth overall out of 62 competitors and lead the masters 50-plus category.

At the final event in Scotland, Fenemore and Rouille competed in solo, double and coxed quad boats.

This saw the pair join forces with team members from Trieste in Italy, Stratford-upon-Avon, Llanion Warriors, Dolphin and Runcorn.

Fenemore and Rouille rowed with Barbara Nespolo, Alberto Millo, Tom Doherty, Bryony Jones, Andi Davies and Sue Sjlivic.

The team win a total of six gold and five silver medals.

Fenemore and Rouille hope to compete in the European Championships in Antalya, Turkey in October.

Their participation in the event depends on whether Fenemore can recover from a rib injury.

Fenemore sustained the injury after his boat capsized in the final of the solo beach sprint in Ayr.
