TIM Fenemore, from Rugby, won double gold at the British Coastal Championships in Tynemouth.
Fenemore rows for Hollowell Scullers and the Coastal Barbarians and teamed up with members from Jersey, Eastbourne and Portsmouth in North Tyneside.
He raced in the men’s masters double (60-plus) age category, the men’s open coxed quad event and the mixed masters quad (50-plus) age category.
And Fenemore claimed two gold medals and also a silver at the Championships.
The British Coastal Championships saw crews from across Great Britain compete over a three-kilometre course.
This saw raced compressed into one day of action after heavy waves led to the cancellation of the first day of racing.
Crews from as far away as Plymouth, Dover, Fishguard and St Andrews took part.
Fenemore and rowing partner Ricky Rouille raced in a double boat and won gold in the 60-plus age category after finishing third overall.
In the men’s coxed quad race, Fenemore took to the water alongside Rouille, Steve Reed and Jon Osborn, with Andi Davies at cox, in the 50-plus age group.
A close race ensued against a significantly younger crew as Fenemore just missed out on gold to take silver an improvement on the bronze medal he won at the last British Championships in 2023.
Fenemore and Rouille then teamed up with Davies and Fran Lane, with Tina Tidy at cox, in the mixed masters quad race.
And Fenemore claimed his second gold medal in the 50-plus age category in a challenging race as conditions worsened.
