ARCHERY: FIVE competitors from Rugby Sport for the Disabled took part in a National Crossbow Federation Club competition at the weekend.

Taking place at the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Centre, the 18 metre shoot consisted of 60 shots at a 40cm vegas target.

Irish Bingham competed in the Tournament Division while the remaining four shooters shot in the Sports Standard category.

The club welcomed two newcomers to crossbow who both achieved strong results and will gain World Ranking points as a result of their efforts.




Iris Bingham starred scoring 594 points out of 600 while Graeme Mooney shot 591.

Ann Burt posted 583 while Kevin Rumble scored 554 and Jacob Clough returned with 496.


Graeme Mooney, who had just returned to shooting after a long break due to illness, said: “I had a great shoot and one of my personal bests.

“Buying a new scope for my bow means I can see the target a lot better.”
