RUGBY Borough Football Club have donated and delivered crates of food to the Hope4 food bank in Rugby.
Borough coach Darren Fox first suggested the idea and the club quickly gathered enough food and non perishables to fill half of a transit van, loaned to the club by Marcin Szulc of Pertemps, in just over two weeks.
Some of the club’s young players helped to load the van and take donations to the food bank which is located next to the Benn Hall in town.
Adi Robinson, who manages the foodbank and the Hope4 project in Rugby, was on hand to explain to the players why helping others at this time of year is even more important than usual, with the cost of living crisis making a huge impact.
