RUGBY Borough kept up their promotion push with a resounding 3-0 victory over fellow challengers FC GNG.
It took just 15 minutes for third-placed Borough to assert their dominance on second-placed GNG, with Brandon Oddy curling an effort just over the bar from outside the area.
Jamie Paye then volleyed straight at the keeper from a curling cross.
GNG were reduced to ten men in the 44th minute when their right back pulled back Paye as he tried to latch on to a throughball.
Borough punished GNG from the resulting free kick, with Josh Turton scoring after the keeper had already saved Ollie Chater’s effort.
Although Borough dominated the majority of the second half, it took until the 75th minute for the hosts to double their lead through an own goal.
Borough then wrapped up the game eight minutes later through Chater.
Up next for Borough is a trip to Cottesmore Amateurs on Saturday.
