RUGBY Borough’s under-9 girls team won the Leicestershire Women’s and Girls Gold League Cup to claim their second trophy in as many seasons.
Borough’s Lionesses beat Hinckley Borough 1-0 in the final as team captain Violeta Vreto scored the only goal from the penalty spot while Rugby’s Ava-Rose Reeve won the player of the match award.
Coaches Justin Puwar and Dan Mallinson expressed their pride in all of the girls for their achievement and for their commitment and attitude over another successful season.
