JAKE Louis made an impression for Rugby Junior Triathlon Club at the Beachborough School Junior Triathlon on Sunday.
Held at Stowe House in Buckingham, the club’s athletes recorded some impressive results, despite the temperamental weather conditions.
Louis claimed the result of the day for the club in the 15-16 years event, completing the 300m swim, 5000m cycle and 2500m run in 26:18.
Meanwhile, in the Tri Start category for eight-year olds, Jacob Haywood was the fastest club representative, completing the 50m swim, 1000m cycle and 500m run in 9:50 to finish 15th, with Eleanor Griffiths completing the course in 10:52 to finish 21st.
In Tri Star 1 (9-10 years), William Stiles was the fastest RJTC boy (16:18, 30th), and was followed shortly after by William Dredge (16:26, 33rd), Holly Allen (16:50, 45th) and Benjamin Spires (18:11, 70th).
Layla Rose (18:57, 77th), Nate Tilt (21:09, 94th), Aaron Morris (21:59, 100th) and Alex Staiton (26:22, 105th) then completed the Rugby line-up after a 150m swim, 2000m cycle and a 1000m run.
Emily Haywood (25:59, 27th) was first home in Tri Star 2 (11-12 years), followed by Scarlett Sanders (26:57, 34th), George Morris (28:58, 54th), Zoe Dredge (29:18, 58th) and Georgia Stiles (29:22, 59th).
Georgina Griffiths (79th) finished in 32:12, and Madison Bailey (92nd) in 36:54 after a 200m swim, 4000m cycle and 2000m run.
In Tri Star 3 (13-14 years), Hannah Tilt finished the 300m swim, 5000m cycle and 2500m run fastest for the club in 39th (33:13), Luke Broomhead came home in 45th (34:15) and Harrison Bailey in 65th (44:08).
