YOUNGSTER Chloe Hunt came home from the Warwickshire Schools’ Badminton Association’s (WSBA) County Championships with a haul of awards following a hugely impressive display across two different age groups in Warwick.
The year nine student at Rugby’s Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College was presented with six major trophies which included winning the under-15 doubles and singles, as well as the under-17 double and singles titles..
Following her appearance at the WSBA County Badminton Championships, Hunt was also named as the Warwickshire School’s Badminton Association under-15 player of the year.
“I am very proud of what I have achieved, and I am really pleased that all my training and effort has paid off,” said Hunt.
“My aim now is to win the national championships next year and get the highest ranking I can.”
Alison Davies, Headteacher at Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College, added: “It is always wonderful to hear when our students do well.
“In school Chloe is a hard working and conscientious student and I am pleased that she is excelling in her chosen sport.”
