Swifts struggle to find a way past resolute Blackstones defence

FOOTBALL: LUTTERWORTH Town struggled to find a way past a resolute Blackstones defence as they suffered their third defeat of the season.

Early ressure from Blackstones eventually told as a rebound from an initial shot which struck the crossbar handed the home side the lead.

The second part of the opening half resulted in few and far chances as the game entered its second phase at 1-0.

Blackstones then doubled their lead as a handball in the penalty area gifted the visitors a two-goal lead.

Time was running out for the Swifts who committed more men forward to try and find an openin. But after another thwarted Lutterworth attack Blackstones made it three.

And that was how the game finished as Lutterworth were forced to settle for a 3-0 loss.
