Town suffer first league defeat

FOOTBALL: RUGBY Town suffered their first league defeat of the season in a high-tempo end-to-end game at Heanor Town.

Valley were never anywhere near their best but did manage to get in a winning position with goals either side of half time after Heanor had took an early lead including David Kolodynski’s 200th goal for Rugby.

But it was the hosts who managed to drag themselves back into the game as Jamie Sleigh completed his hat-trick late on for victory with Rugby’s Jamie Hall receiving a red card in the aftermath of the decisive goal to add insult to injury.
