Village-based Bourton & Frankton on the lookout for new players

Rugby Editorial 9th Aug, 2016 Updated: 27th Oct, 2016   0

BOURTON & Frankton Football Club are gearing up for the new football season by extending an invitation to new players and members for the coming campaign.

The village club, based only five miles from Rugby, will once again have two teams in the Coventry Alliance Football League on Saturday afternoons, where following a reorganisation of the league divisions the First XI now find themselves in Division 3 and the Reserves in Division 4.

Pre-season training continues at B & F’s Main Street ground on Tuesday evenings through August and then throughout the season, with a series of friendlies lined up in the coming weeks ahead of the start of the season scheduled for the start of next month.

In keeping with previous years, B & F are again keen to welcome players – both new and old to the club, and in particular are keen to hear from local youth players who are looking to make the switch from junior/youth football into the senior game.

The club is an FA Charter Status Club and continues to offer one of the best playing surfaces in the local area, along with changing rooms and showers, plus off-the-field a very active social scene.

For further details on joining Bourton & Frankton FC for the new football season or coming along to training, contact Rich Parsons (First Eleven team manager) on 07756 606522 or Reserve team managers Mick Williams on 07771 635528 or Mark Whitehead on 07855 754812.
