RUGBY Town’s season has been extended by three days after the league revealed the date of Valley’s rearranged match against Milton Keynes Irish.
Valley’s season will now end on Tuesday, April 25 away at MK Irish after their midweek clash was abandoned on 21 minutes due to a floodlight failure at Manor Fields with game goalless.
However, with Valley four points behind leaders Coventry Sphinx in the United Counties League Premier Division South table, the latter club could have the title wrapped up by the time Rugby play their final fixture.
Should Coventry beat Eynesbury Rovers at home this weekend, Rugby will be confined to second place and a promotion play-off.
Valley host Wellingborough Town on Saturday, April 22 with kick-off at 3pm at Butlin Road before then heading to Manor Fields to play MK Irish on Tuesday, April 25 with kick-off at 7.45pm.
