RUGBY Racing and Cycling Club completed its season of club events on Sunday morning with the annual hill climb which was held at Newnham near Badby.

This short, but extremely steep hill is just 900 metres long but rises 196 feet and has a 1 in 5 climb at the mid-point.

The result was a win for Craig McKee who rounded off a perfect club season by taking five seconds off Ryan Kenworthy’s three-year old record in the process.

Over the season, McKee has won the club points competition with a maximum score from his 18 rides and has set new club records by lowering the ten-mile time to 19 minutes and ten seconds and the 25-mile time to 49 minutes and 44 seconds.
